 ‘[...] The simple rhythm of classical architecture is reflected in the typefaces of the time; inner spaces and blank spaces have the same value, their arrangement is determined by one unit of space. Modern architecture seeks new rhythms.’ Inspired by Frutiger’s analogy and the structural nature of my initial visual invest-igation, these prints look to engage the links between architecture and typography. Having re-created one of my initial visuals in 3-dimensional form, I used photographic techniques, scale and the architectural plotter to produce these large scale imgaes.
Installation focussing on the interaction between the objects and the prints, to engage the viewer with relationships of scale, typography and architecture.
